![]() Up to and including chamber 21 if p-cube moves, f-cube fizzles out of existence - no questions asked - p-cube moves? f-cube doesn't exist even if it should still be moving in the same spot in the future. But it does So I actively tried to use a similar logic that is used in chamber 22 two chambers earlier, have the game tell me "that's not how this works" only for it to come back two chambers later and be like "well, actually, that is how this works" and to switch back to "you know what, I changed my mind, that's not how this works anymore" from chamber 23 onwards. f-cube should not fizzle out of existence. The platform should then be able to move up and down in the past without changing the position of f-cube. This results in the f-cube being on the exact same spot on the platform, which itself is lowered because the laser is unpowered. Similarly, in the same chamber (20) my initial idea was to put the p-cube on the first raised platform. But f-cube doesn't manifest as until p-cube stops moving about. The issue is more to do with the fact that chamber 22 is the only chamber to behave like this - You can make the p-cube perpetually move between the blue and orange portal in chamber 20 by shooting the two portals on the ground and throwing the cube in there - the portals remain at that spot for 20 years, and the f-cube should still be moving, too. Since f-cube's history of bouncing between the two faith plates for 20 years is no longer true, it fades out of existence, and is replaced with an f-cube that sat on the button for 20 years. I actually streamed my time with this game, in-case my verbal ramblings would provide any other insights (which is admittedly unlikely). ![]() If we take that idea into the Chamber 22 puzzle, p-cube bounced between the two faith plates for 20 years, until we came along, picked up f-cube and caused the two to collide. Therefore, when I move p-cube again (now it's facing East) the "history" of p-cube sitting facing north is no longer valid and f-cube disappears, replaced with the f-cube that sat facing east for 20 years. The way I looked at the f-cube "manifesting" itself was that p-cube sat in exactly the same position (let's say, facing North) for 20 years, until I came and picked up the f-cube. I felt like the intended solution made sense, depending on your interpretation of the implications of using the Time Portal. And I even re-checked the same logic on the following chamber, but at all times does p-cube effect f-cube even if they technically are different cubes - except for chamber 22ĭoes anyone else feel "betrayed" by chamber 22? But then I realised that I have tried this logic in previous chambers, only to have it not work which might have been explained in a voiceover. By traveling to the future and creating a new f-cube, anything that happens to p-cube logically has no effect on the new f-cube they should basically be "unlinked". At first glance, I thought it was because it technically isn't the same cube anymore. The second inconsistency is that I can go to the future timeline, grab the f-cube by deploying a new one and have it not desolve despite p-cube still moving about. When you move to the future, the f-cube will never manifest. This is the first inconsistency: Go to chamber 18, and launch the p-cube using the aerial faith plate into a portal that comes out on the floor of the room, basically having the cube jump up permanently on the faith plate. So despite the p-cube not resting anywhere, the f-cube is manifested and can be grabbed. ![]() Yet, in chamber 22 I can put the p-cube on the aerial faith plates and have the cube jump from plate to plate and travel to the future to see the f-cube do the same. Spoiler: possible solutions to a few chambers incommingĪll throughout the game the game desolves any "future" cube (f-cube) when the "past" cube (p-cube) gets moved - even when not moved by the player but a platform for example (which you can replicate in chamber 20 by putting the p-cube on the platform that raises once the laser is no longer blocked). I was struggling finding a solution to chamber 22 and had to look online for a solution, or at least a hint.Īfter finding a hint I find that chamber 22 goes vastly against any concepts you were taught in the previous 21 chambers and all chambers coming after it.
